WESSIELING
Artist's Statement
|
WESSIELING practice focuses on the relation among fashion, cities and identities. Her work acknowledges fashion as a major social force, interplays with consumer tastes, social habits and personal identities. The inclusion of a place, a locality plays a major role in her critical inquiry. WESSIELING? work considers how fashion represents, connects our cultural shelves and their liaison with one? locality. Interactive-ness is central to her practice. She uses installation to make theoretical intervention into a phenomenon. WESSIELING also is a Senior Lecturer at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.
