Artist's Statement

Panni is a British Chinese Artist who works with spirit, culture and location creatively connecting people from diverse cultural backgrounds with each other and their environment using photography, paintings, events, sound, video and visual installations in her work. In 2004 the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister gave a national award for her work organising the annual ïAbbeyfield Park Multicultural FestivalÍ that she initiated in 1999, that had an attendance of 12 000 in 2004. Her vast experience (Arts Co-ordinator, Teacher and Social Worker), qualifications & training in working in the urban multicultural arts environment informs and enriches her work that has been exhibited widely in the U.K. & internationally. As a self-employed artist she has sold work to public and private collectors as well as leading workshops in numerous locations in Lancashire, Yorkshire and London for adults and children and curating exhibitions, some international.
