Louise Hagger
Artist's Statement
|
HaggerÍs artwork examines the themes of preservation, memory, fragility and vulnerability. She is fascinated by the absence of human presence, capturing memories surrounding family and home through the use of photography. Hagger is particularly interested in the fragility of memories and how the mind becomes delicate, particularly as we grow older. Comprising of intimate and diary-like qualities, her photographs questions the idealised version of events that people are desperate to preserve and maintain.
