Artist's Statement
Each series of work borrows the shape of fan from traditional Chinese paintings and the concept of ancient ïYin YangÍ-the two opposing principles in nature, the former feminine and negative, the latter masculine and positive.Yin combines with Yang to form the whole world.the work reveals mutual unity and revolving in things.the shape of circle also has a sense of perfection and transmigration in oriental spirit.here circle means tranquillity, placidness and perfection.yet most of the circles are incomplete.it reveals internal and external imperfection of human being and their latent desire for perfection.
Those stones and pillars floating in space are painted using line drawing of Chinese watercolour technique.they make you feel that there is something beyond us.they perhaps symbolise the power of the nature.they are real and transparent.we cannot touch them.in the background of the paintings, these stones and pillars flash poetic light to our soul which has become colder and colder because of our broken daily lives.
I strongly feel that, the art work have become an individual of its own, broken away from the artist.they are like lives coming out in a sudden.their inhalation and exhalation forms their bodyies full of breath,so naturally and without reverse.
