Chinese Arts Centre
Established in 1986, Chinese Arts Centre has a strong history as a national charity for the development and promotion of Chinese arts and culture in the UK. Located in the North West of England, Chinese Arts Centre is part of the regions rich Chinese heritage. Chinese Arts Centre is based in Manchester, a city with the second largest Chinese community in the UK. Manchester is a vibrant artistic city with a flourishing contemporary art scene. There are many artist studios, galleries and performance venues in the city with a busy population of contemporary artists choosing to live and work in Manchester.

Chinese Arts Centre aims to develop an infrastructure to allow Chinese arts, and especially British Chinese artists, to flourish. Our work covers four main areas; exhibitions, education, agency work and advocacy which includes training, conferences and publications.

Arts Council England
Arts Council England works to get more art to more people in more places. We develop and promote the arts across England, acting as an independent body at arm’s length from government.

Between 2006 and 2008, we will invest £1.1 billion of public money from government and the National Lottery in supporting the arts. This is the bedrock of support for the arts in England.

We believe that the arts have the power to change lives and communities, and to create opportunities for people throughout the country.

Asian Music Circuit
The Asian Music Circuit aims to bring the best of traditional and contemporary music reflecting living traditions from Asia to the widest public possible. The study and understanding of music from different parts of our world is a journey of discovery of the deeper reality of things, of oneself and of our world . Such a journey is undertaken as much by the listener as by the performer and it is their joint and mutual experience that can lead to a heightened state of mind. Only then does music, to quote one of India's greatest philosophers Dr. Radhakrishnan , “give us a sense of the meaningfulness of life and evoke in us ideas of the larger beauty , justice and charity of the universe”.
