Jih-Wen Yeh
Artist's Statement

Taiwanese born Jih-Wen Yeh trained in both Chinese and contemporary dance at the Taiwan Junior College. She then gained her BA (Hons) Dance Theatre at the Laban centre, London in 1993. Since then, she has choreographed and performed professionally in both Chinese and contemporary dance. In 1995 she formed Step out Arts to aim to promote the Chinese arts in the UK.
Jie-Wen had won a choreographic award from Dance of Black Origin Festival led by the Greenroom Manchester. And perform a solo work in Reflex 2000. She was selected as the choreographer in - --residence at the Trinity Church of England High School, Manchester.
March 2001 she has completed her forth contract with the Royal Opera House, Coven Garden London to perform in the production of "Turandot" 2001.
